baggage that has been pilfered is checked baggage that, while in custody of the airline has some of the contents inside due to damage or theft.
If a bag is plifered with then the customer will go to a help desk where they will then fill out a pilfered bag report. They will then outline the missing item/s. Then the customer will get a report that will advise the customer to claim on their insurance.
Check if the bag has been found then the bag will be checked to the description of the missing bag. Then it will be checked if the name on the bag matches the name shown on the owners passport. If the names match up then they can have the bag delivered to them or they can pick it up.
