*High temperatures can kill bacteria


*always use a thermometer

*only use clean, unbroken, fresh eggs for cooking

*Don't eat raw cookie dough

*boil canned foods ten to twenty minutes and only use sealed cans

Correct cooking temperatures

* always keep hot foods hot (above 140°F or 60°C)


* cuts of meat - 145°F

*ground meat - 160°F

*whole poultry - 180°F

*breast pieces - 170°F

*stuffing - 165°F

*leftovers - 165°F
