Faculty Celebrates with Food, Laughter, and Fun at Annual Christmas Party; A Faculty that Enjoys Serving Children Together

Hand washing is an important habit that should start early so it becomes automatic as a child grows. Kindergarten teachers are working to teach this habit by asking parents to help model proper hand washing. The Softsoap company has sent coupons on soap along with a chart for students to monitor their hand washing for a week. Nurse Tracy says, "It is important for students to master hand washing now. It is an important deterent to the spread of the flu and other viruses."

Pre-K Surprised by Austin High School Students' Christmas Gifts
Austinville pre-k students celebrated with squeals and smiles at the annual Christmas party with the Austin High Thespian Club. The Austin students read the children's letters to Santa and then bring them their Christmas wishes. Mrs. Archer, pre-k teacher said, "We love having our Santa's helpers come visit!" The party always ends with a sing-a-long to favorites such as Jingle Bells, Rudolph and Silent Night.
Second Sunday for Christmas Picture Fundraiser Largest Crowd Ever!
A big thank you to all the families who had pictures made in the Christmas Memories fundraiser for the Austinville Outdoor Classroom. Ms. Clark has been extremely pleased with this year's event. Proceeds from the two Sunday picture days were for future Math and Science activities in the Outdoor Classroom. We appreciate the support of Austinville families as well as the community. The following pictures were a few of Ms. Clark's favorites from this past weekend.
