Background Information
Ted Bundy had a rocky relationship history, most of his victims resembled his ex-girlfriend "Stephanie Brooks". It is believed his resentment for her sparked his rampage. Some believe he started killing in his early teens. When he was fourteen or fifteen, an 8 year old girl and vanished from her home in Bundy's neighborhood in 1961. He denied killing her and his earliest murders were committed in 1974.
Details of Criminal Activity/Scene
Bundy raped and murdered a series of women, strangling and mutilating his victims. He displayed their choppeed off heads in his apartment and slept with their corpses until putrefaction made it unbearable.
Trial
Ted Bundy acted as his own defense attorney at his trial. Testimonies were strong and against Bundy's favor. An odontologist's claimed that the bite marks found on victim Lisa Levy connected to Bundy. This type of evidence was crucial on securing Bundy's conviction and swayed the jury. The bite marks were easily connected with the suspect because it matched the dental impressions of the alignment, chips, and the size of the teeth.
Results
Theodore Bundy was sentenced to the death penalty for the murder of Kimberly Leach. Bundy was electrocuted by the State of Florida on January 24th, 1989.
