A Message from our Principal, Mr. Pflugrath...
Dear Osbourn Family,
I hope this finds you well and you are enjoying this Memorial Day weekend. This will be our last weekly newsletter for the school year and we will resume with our weekly newsletter in August. Thank you to all those that assisted with graduation last Friday, it was great to see the Class of 2021 celebrate this event together. I wish our seniors all the best, you will be missed!
If you did not get a chance to turn in your course materials yet, you can bring them by the main office this week. We will be close on Monday in observance of Memorial Day, but open the rest of the week. Summer school, SOL bootcamp, and our ESOL Academy are still open for registration, call 571-377-7026 for more information or visit our website.
One of our special education teachers, Megan Barbour, was announced as this year’s Prince William Regional Outstanding Secondary Education Teacher for the 2020-21 school year. We are proud of our Special Education Department at Osbourn High School and honored to have the Teacher of the Year among an outstanding staff. Way to go, Megan! We’re proud of you and we appreciate all that you do!!
Although the academic school year is over, our Spring Sports teams are still in season. I wish all of our Spring Sports teams all of the best as they finish out their seasons and the best of luck in the upcoming playoffs.
To our entire Osbourn Family, thank you for your support this school year. It has been a successful year throughout all of these circumstances. It was evident this year that we are one family and your support has been unwavering as we have been able to effectively serve our students. I am proud of our accomplishments this year and want to thank you for helping making it happen. Students, I love you, please have an enjoyable and safe summer.

GLOW OF THE WEEK...
Sherry Steindler, Mary Burns, and Jeane Ryder were awarded our Golden Eagle Award, the highest recognition that Osbourn staff members can receive, for their work to keep us all safe during the pandemic this school year. Sherry, Mary, and Jeane are our school nurses and certified athletic trainer. They were on the frontline ensuring our safety throughout this school year, even putting their own safety at risk to protect us. Their work has been heroic and appreciated. Thank you Sherry, Mary, and Jeane, it is an honor to work with you. Thank you for protecting our Osbourn family.
Spanish Placement Test Information
Any OHS student who is fluent in Spanish, has never taken a Spanish class or the placement test and plans to take a Spanish course at Osbourn High School next school year must take a Spanish placement test. Results of this test will determine what level of Spanish best suits the student's current Spanish abilities. Students who test out of Spanish 1 and/or Spanish 2 will also earn high school credit for those courses.
Please, click on the link to complete registration by Friday, July 23 to register to take the Spanish placement test and make transportation arrangements if needed. The test will begin at 9AM and take place at Osbourn High School on August 2. You will need to bring your computer, charger and if possible, headphones.
Looking Ahead...
