Costa Rican Adventure

Volcanoes, and ziplines, and sloths, OH MY!

GIVE THE GIFT OF EDUCATION

Dear Family and Friends,

I am participating in an amazing educational program in Costa Rica this February with my friends and classmates from Notre Dame! We’ll spend a whole week together learning about the ecology and biodiversity of Costa Rica. Did you know that Costa Rica is one of the most biologically diverse places on the planet?!?! Mom is the trip leader and I'm so excited to have some of my best friends going too!

Here are some of the awesome activities that are planned for us on our Costa Rican adventure:

 Learn about the life of a field ecologist by working with a scientist in Sarapiquí

 Whitewater rafting down the most pristine river in Costa Rica, the Sarapiquí River

 An exhilarating canopy zip line tour through the Monteverde Cloud Forest

 Hiking through the hardened lava flows of the Arenal Volcano, while studying the surrounding forest’s flora and fauna (and Merryweather ;)

My Christmas wish this year is to raise at least $1,600, and I am so grateful for the generosity of my friends and family who have made my previous wishes come true. Please help me by sponsoring a portion of my trip to Costa Rica. I can't wait to learn about the Costa Rican ecosystems and culture. I'm mostly excited to see the wild animals. They're so cool! I also think this will be a great bonding opportunity between my friends and me. Any contribution you could make would bring me that much closer to this once-in-a-lifetime experience.

As this is the 21st century, I will gratefully accept any amount through snail mail, direct deposit, or PayPal. The account is joshua.cruickshank@gmail.com.

Please call, text, or email me if you have any questions or want to hear more about this really great learning opportunity. WorldStrides is the educational travel company organizing our trip, and you can check out www.worldstrides.org for information about their trips and safety record.

Thank you for your consideration.

Have a great holiday season!
