Great Outdoor Eating for Spring by Sean Threlkel
Spring is the last season of the year that doesn’t feel like you’re trapped in an oven when you walk outside, which is why it’s a pretty good time to take advantage of restaurants that offer outdoor dining. So in no particular order, here are 4 restaurants to eat at during Spring time.
1. Ciao Grazie’s is a good place to eat outdoors during the spring and anytime it isn’t 120 degrees not only because of the food, but the atmosphere is also good.
2. Albeit it is pretty close to the highway, Culver’s is still a decent place to eat outdoors, with decent food at a decent price.
3. Tempo Urban Bistro is right next to Grazie's, so its atmosphere is similar although you lose the park view. The food is also a little more on the expensive side (A meal for 2 costs $40), but is still good.
4. The Vic Bar + Kitchen has an amazing view being on top of a hill and the food is also good, although similarly to Tempo, is on the pricier side.
Women's History Month (March) by Madee Guy
Women’s History Month is celebrated in the month of March. This month is celebrated because women in the United States were not able to have jobs, voting rights, and were expected to stay low. In 1982, President Reagan designated the week of March 7 to be Women’s History Week. However, in 1987 congress decided to devote the whole month of March for women. Women have been a vital part of history and the growth of the United States. Additionally, the United Kingdom and Australia have begun to celebrate the holiday.

The History of Easter by Tyler Tryon
Easter, a holiday full of egg hunts, candy, and time with family. Easter is a Christian holiday celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ. According to the New Testament of the Bible, Easter occurs three days after Jesus was crucified by the Romans. The holiday concludes the “Passion of Christ,” a series of events/holidays that begins with Lent, and ends with Holy Week, which includes Holy Thursday (the celebration of the Last Supper), Good Friday (a day on which Jesus’ crucifixion is observed) and Easter Sunday. Despite Easter being a religious holiday, many non-Christian families celebrate this holiday with non religious traditions such as Easter eggs, painting eggs, and Egg rolling. Many of the non-Christian families also celebrate Easter with the Easter Bunny tradition, where a character known as the Easter Bunny brings chocolate eggs and candy for children, usually in a basket, and hides Easter eggs around the house for children to find.

What's Cooking? by Leslie Cruz Santiago
*Please note these ideas came from Pinterest, but they are my recipes and instructions based on what I thought was best*
Mini Spring Doughnuts:
I have had a mini doughnut maker, which you can buy off of Amazon, so this recipe applies to mini donut makers. But feel free to experiment with oven baking.
Ingredients for batter:
1 cup flour
½ cup sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
½ cup sour cream
¼ cup vegetable oil
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 egg
3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder (optional)
Ingredients for glaze:
½ cup melted butter
2 cups powdered sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
5-7 tablespoons of evaporated milk
Food coloring of your choice (optional)
Sprinkles (optional)
Instructions:
Preheat your machine, in a medium-large bowl mix in your ingredients, and beat your ingredients for around 2 minutes, make sure it is not over mixed. If you want to make chocolate doughnuts, add in 3 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder.
Once you add in your batter, make sure you use a toothpick to check that it is cooked through all the way, once ready carefully remove from your pan.
For the glaze; melt your butter in a microwave safe bowl. Add your powdered sugar, vanilla, evaporated milk, butter, and food coloring if you choose. Use a whisk, and mix together well, depending on how thick you would like your glaze to be.
When your doughnuts are completely cooled, dip into your glaze and allow to drip onto a drying rack. If you choose to decorate with sprinkles, sprinkle them on now, before they dry.
