The Huffman Commitment
We will work with every student, staff member, and family to develop and maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive learning community. We are committed to continuously improving our professional practices and take responsibility for the academic, social, and emotional growth of every student. We believe all people can grow in a positive direction.
Principal's Note
As we end the first quarter, teachers are looking forward to conferencing with you. Conferences are an important way for teachers and parents to share progress, concerns, and goals going forward. If you haven't, I encourage you to reach out to your classroom teacher to sign up for a conference. Teachers are completing conferences this week and next.
As Covid cases continue to spike in our community, we can all do our part to help get our kids back in school and our businesses open as soon as possible. The cheapest and most basic CDC recommendations include:
- Wear a mask when out and about
- Socially distance
- Wash hands and maintain proper hygiene
- Stay home if symptomatic or have had close contact with a confirmed case
Please take a moment to review a few updates below. As always, please reach out with any celebrations, questions, or concerns.
All the best, Chris
Chris Opitz, principal
