Elie Wiesel is a survivor of the holocaust. His experiences include being a prisoner in the Auschwitz, Buna, and Buchenwald concentration camps. He became a writer to many books. He wrote the book that we are reading now and that's called "Night". He was 15 years old. He had lied about his age inside the camp so he can stay with his father . His mother and sister had died once they got there. Elie had to say he was 18 and his father said he was 40 but really Elie was 15 and his father was 50.

In spring, Germans conquer Denmark, Norway, France, Belgium,Luxembourg, and the Netherlands; Winston Churchill becomes British Prime Minister.

Elie Wiesel pursued Jewish religious studies before his family was forced to relocate to Nazi death camps during WWII. Wiesel had survived the death camps.

Elie Wiesel was separated from his dad when Elie has to go to a different camp. Elie had lied and said he was a different age so he could stay with his father but they got separated. His mom and sister didn't live they had to go in the " shower" but it really was a gas chamber.

Death camps

The death camps could hold a lot of people. The only bad things are that when people go into the death camps they barley eat, and drink. So the people that are in the camps die and the other people have to but their bodies into fire and burn the human bodies.

The people that were in the holocaust were the Nazis and the Jews,Poles, And Soviet Soliders. In the holocaust they would have little kids and women be sent to the "showers", but really it was the gas chambers.

The holocaust was the mass murder of the Jews. They would kill mainly the Jews because they thought the Jews were not humans.

When the holocaust took place was in late 1938 and ended in 1945, during World War II.

The holocaust begain In Germany and other countries that the Nazis were in control of. The nazis could only use the land or countries they were n control of because other people thought that they were innocent and shouldn't be treated like that.

Why did the holocaust happen

The Holocaust happened because the Nazis hated the Jews so much and they thought that they were better than the Jews. So they would think that the Jews weren't people and treat them badly.

How did the Nazis do it ?

The Nazis would ship Jews to concentration camps by trains, vans, and so on. There were three different types of concentration camps: Red Cross camps, Work camps, and Death camps. They were forced to labor for the Nazis at the work camps and were treated harshley. At the Red Cross camps, the Red Cross would be aloud to go to those camps and medically attend to the Jews. At the death camps, the Jews would be gassed or killed in some other way. Eventually, though, most Jews would have to go to the death camps.
