Happy Holidays from Mrs. Kelly and Mrs. Rowland! We hope you had a fabulous Thanksgiving with your families.

Second Step lessons are continuing on Monday mornings at 7:45. This month's topic is having a Growth Mindset and Setting Goals. Each Monday you will receive an email about the Second Step lesson and ways to talk to your students at home about what they discussed with their classes and teachers.

Students will have opportunities to tell about their holiday traditions by making cards or videos to share with classmates and the volunteers that help our school.

LVES will host a Career Day for all students on January 21st. Students are learning about different careers each Tuesday during the morning announcements.

Thank you to our community for all of their support this month. A special thanks to Pastor Mclaughlin and Omega Psi Phi fraternity for their donations of turkey dinners for our families, Valley Creek Church for their grocery donations and First Baptist Church at The Fields for their generous school supply donation. Also a big thank you to Denis with ER of Texas Highland Village for sponsoring the Thanksgiving feast for our teachers and staff.

We are in need of parent volunteers! If you are interested in volunteering at our school, we have availabilities for room parents, office helpers (cutting, copying, laminating) school events (dances, field trips, holiday events) and more.
