Gateway Elementary Wins Basketball Championship
The Creighton School District provides after school intramural sports to all middle school students. We offer soccer, volleyball, cheer, basketball, flag-football, and softball. The cost to play is $25 per student, per season with a $50 maximum fee per student for the school year. If you have multiple children interested in playing sports, the fee is $200 maximum per family for all children, for all activities for the school year.
2020 Census
The 2020 Census will determine how over $700 billion in federal government resources will be distributed each year into the next decade to states and localities.
The 2020 Census count will impact the federal funds Creighton School District receives each year for critical programs and services, including:
- Special Education
- Parent Liaisons
- Reading Interventionists
- Instructional Coaches
- Summer School
- Professional Learning
Census data determines where schools, roads, hospitals, child care centers, senior centers and other services should be built. Programs that rely on data and allocations derived from the census also include Medicaid, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Section 8, Medicare Part B and State Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP).
Census data is used for appointment of Congressional seats and redistricting at all levels of the government. The Census is indispensable for monitoring discrimination and the enforcement of a broad range of civil rights laws.
Census Day is April 1, 2020. It is crucial that every person is counted to ensure our community continues to be successful.

Creighton Celebrates Black History Month
In celebration of Black History Month, all month we will be posting celebrations of people throughout history as well as members of our Creighton family!
To kick-off the month, we want to highlight where it all started:
The celebration of Black History Month was created in 1926 by Carter G. Woodson, a noted African American historian, scholar, educator and publisher. It became a month long celebration in 1976.
Stay connected with our district Facebook page for updates and highlights.
