Reminders and Updates from Dr. Bonneau
Come out tonight (Friday) to watch our basketball teams play Duncanville here at Legacy!
Student Pickup and Drop off: Please do not drop off or pick up your student from the parking lots across the highway from the campus. The doors open for students in the morning are at the front and back of the cafeteria. At 7:15 we also open the front-main doors. Students must be in class by 7:25 to avoid being tardy.
Fines and Fees: Please check Skyward for fines and fees. We have hundreds of students that have fines and fees that have not been paid. When tickets go on sale for our Neon Nights dance in February, all fines and fees will have to be cleared before a student can purchase a ticket.
Reminders from Attendance:
College Trips
College days may be taken throughout the school year. Parents must make a written request for approval of the college day to your student’s assistant principal three (3) days prior to a trip. Upon their return, students must provide official documentation on the college letterhead of the visit and give it to their assistant principal. Students will be allowed two (2) college days per year that will not affect the exemption or attendance policy. College visits are limited to juniors and seniors.
VOE forms
If your student needs a VOE form for a driver’s license or for Driver’s Ed, they must sign up for one in the Attendance Office with at least two days advance notice. Approval for this form will depend on the 1st semester’s attendance. If a student has over 4 absences in any class, this form will be denied and the student needs to talk to their assistant principal to make up their absences in Saturday School.
Let's CELEBRATE! If you have had an experience with someone at Legacy and want to give them a "shout out", please send me their name and a brief explanation. We would love to make someone's day! My email address is stephaniebonneau@misdmail.org.
As usual, please reach out if you have any questions!
