Citizens need a voice
Government doesn't know what's best for citizens

Citizens should control laws that affect them in anyway instead of government controlling all decisions and not benefiting them.

Quote and Analysis

Analysis: this shows that with the citizens in control they would know what’s best for them. Like in the lottery they thought about getting rid of the lottery but couldn't really do anything because they had no voice.

Analysis: This shows that the government making everybody equal wasn’t the best for the people. This shows that the citizens had no voice and were forced to follow unfair rules.
