Douglas MacArthur was the U.S. general that led the U.S. army in the war at the Phillippines.
General Douglad MacArthur of the United States had an attack plan, but just before going through witht he plan, he changed it. He was going to move the naval forces to the Phillippines to join the British allies to defeat the Japanese Navy.
