You can visit your local public library in-person or online. See what resources they have to offer and ask how you can participate. Share the information about those resources with parents and teachers.
Check out ALA's website for more ways to participate.

Leisha Booker-Stewart
Meet Ms. Leisha Booker. She serves as the librarian at St. Philip's School and Community Center. She is retired, but works as a part time librarian 5 days a week serving PreK-8th grade students. Her goal is to create readers excited about reading in all various forms. She enjoys helping to inspire free thinkers that love to create and explore.
The library has been in this new space for two years and all of the shelves were donated. Books are still being weeded and updated to give students a more updated and diverse collection. The library has new seating, computers, and an amazing "write on" wall for lessons.
Being a small school, monies are donated and the book fair is a must for funds.
"We have done a campus Reading Fair in cooperation with the PreK- 3rd grade teachers. One of our biggest programs is Book Madness, something like March madness."

EBSCO Password Update
As a reminder, the annual EBSCO Password update is no longer in effect for participating TexQuest districts. The password change applied to EBSCO eBooks, which was removed from TexQuest on 9/30/22. Visit the Newsletter outlining resource changes for information.
LearningExpress is the only EBSCO resource currently available in TexQuest, and it does not require a district password, rather each student and faculty member must create his/her own individual account.
Don't forget to remove EBSCO eBooks from your:
Webpages
Learning management systems
Promotional materials such as flyers, bookmarks, posters, etc.
