Boosterthon is coming and we need your help!

Boosterthon is Coming and We Need Your Help!

Our biggest fundraiser of the year takes place on September 29th. The Boosterthon fun run!

We need a lot of help from our parents to make this event a success again this year!

The fun kicks off on September 19th and ends with the run on September 29. There are many fun opportunities to help assist with this event. Each day we would love for one parent to come help print daily reports and sort/distribute prizes. On the day of the run, come cheer on the little Longhorns by volunteering to be at the track!

Please sign up here to help us with this event!

Habit 1: Be Proactive

Our students learn the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People in the form of The 7 Habits of Happy Kids. We've all met someone who is reactive. We've all been reactive. It's not a comfortable place to live. If we can regulate our emotions and be aware of the world around us, we can all be happier. Being proactive is not waiting around for something to happen for you, it's taking control of your own life and making things happen. This is the first habit we learn.

Here's some great videos that teach this concept:

Year eight will be the year of #LonghornsCAN. Our teachers are focusing on empowering instruction this year, giving students more control over their learning with strategic coaching, and raising the bar for every student at our school. Whenever you catch something fabulous showing the power of empowering students to lead their own learning, showing the habits at home, or showing the incredible impact the Longhorns have on our community, share it on social media with the hashtag #LonghornsCAN.
