Parents as Teachers Newsletter

North Kansas City Schools * November 2020

A month of celebrations!

It has been an exciting month in the Parents as Teachers office! On October 15th we learned we were 1 of 5 programs in Missouri to achieve Blue Ribbon Affiliate status this year! This means we are in the top 10% of programs in the state and in the nation. At the end of October, the program was recognized at the district board meeting. This wouldn't be possible without all of the amazing families, past and present, that invited us into their homes and now onto their screens. Thank you for helping to make this tremendous honor possible.

We also celebrated Parent Educator Laura Crawford when she was nominated to be recognized by the district's iNspire program. She recently appeared on the district's web page as well as Fox4 news highlighting the Parents as Teachers program and the amazing work she does with families!
