Grandparents' and Special Friends' Lunch - Thursday, November 21, 2019

Our annual Grandparents' and Special Friends' Lunch is fast approaching! Mrs. Gentle, Mrs. Fisher, Mrs. Z, and their amazing group of volunteers (like YOU) will host roughly 300 guests, filling their bellies with delicious turkey, potatoes, stuffing, and pie! We will have three sittings:

Pre-K through Grade 2: 11:00-11:45; Grades 3-5: 11:45-12:30; Grades 6-8: 12:30-1:15.

Families are asked to contribute the items indicated below. Please put all items in the multi-purpose room on Thursday morning, Nov. 21 (the day of the luncheon) when you drop off your students.

All contributions are per student!

Pre-K - 2 packages of small dessert plates

K - 2 pounds of butter

1 - 2 packages of Thanksgiving themed dinner size napkins

2 - 1 quart of half and half

3 - 1 pumpkin pie (pre-cut into 8 equal slices)

4 - 3 cans of cranberry sauce

5 - 1 fruit pie (pre-cut into 8 equal slices)

6 - 1 fruit pie (pre-cut into 8 equal slices)

7 - 1 package of plastic cups (6-8 oz)

8 - 2 cans of whipped cream

We will need lots of help on the day of the luncheon! Please sign up in the main lobby of the school to lend a helping hand!

The Grandparents' and Special Friends' Luncheon is by donation for our guests; student accounts will be charged the regular lunch fee, if applicable.

We will soon be asking families to communicate with their child's homeroom teacher who will be attending the luncheon to allow us to adhere to our safety policy.

Our kitchen is running low on maple syrup - gasp! We're hoping someone can make this sweet donation!

Basketball Update

Thank you to those able to make our parent/player/coach meeting on Wednesday evening. We hope to offer basketball to students in grades 1-8. At this point, we need coaches for the co-ed 1/2 team, the 3/4 boys' team, the 5/6 boys' team, and the 7/8 girls' team. We also need registration forms from players so we know who's interested! Players can get a copy of the basketball registration form from Coach Bu.

Thank you!

We hosted a beautiful ribbon cutting ceremony after Mass on Wednesday; thank you to all who came out to give thanks to Mr. Howard Manosh and all at Manosh Properties for their incredible generosity.

and more thanks!

Another special thank you to Ed & Sue Olsen for the chair, hay bales, and pumpkins and to Evergreen Gardens of Vermont for the mums and more pumpkins that Michelle Tomlinson arranged beautifully to adorn our school's entryways.

And, one more note of thanks!

Madame Merriam has worked as our long term guest teacher for Madame Wicks during her maternity leave this fall. Today is Madame Merriam's last day with us and we wish to thank her for her hard work and dedication to our students and French program! Merci beaucoup, Madame!

We accidentally left Justin Wicks off our list of people we wish to thank for helping us move on Saturday, November 2. Justin is a tireless advocate and volunteer for our school - thank you, Justin!
