Tuesday 27th September - Robotics Collaboration Day (4 students)
Wednesday 28th September - Wacky Wednesday Mufti Day (Camp Fundraiser), potentially Year 7/8 Netball team vs the Staff.
Thursday 29th September - Bacon Buttie Thursday (Camp Fundraiser). There will be more information to follow about this. Last day of Term 3 for students.
Friday 30th September - Teacher Only Day (Focus on Writing and Healthy Active Learning)
Be Kind, Stay Safe,
POSITIVE BEHAVIOUR FOR LEARNING
We will try to solve our own problems.
Students quite often seek out a teacher before trying to work on the problem themselves. Teachers are giving students suggestions about how they can calmly discuss any problems they are having in their games.
Stars of the Week
Congratulations to Ragnar, Oscar, Hannah, and Nico.
Boston for Year 7/8 Basketball and Lukah was awarded MVP for Year 3/4 Basketball.
Hopefully if all goes according to plan these will be seen in Term 4. There are just one or two little issues to deal with first.
In Term 4 they will be doing a Christmas raffle.
The PTA would like to thank our community for their efforts with our fundraising ventures this year so far. It is wonderful to see the children benefitting from funds raised.
Wonder Project - Power Challenge
With the assistance of our fantastic Wonder Project Ambassador, Simon McLoughlin, Papakura are completing a Power Challenge this term. Simon gives up his time to support the school which we really appreciate.
Students are challenged to design and build a wind turbine and light up their own mini town. Along the way they’ll discover the amazing phenomenon of electricity and renewable energy, and learn how teamwork can keep the lights on.
This opportunity has passed to a group of Year 6 students I have chosen to give it a go! This is our first time entering so we are really in a learning phase.

A big thanks once again must go to our PTA who supplied us with 3 of our Robots. This has provided yet another opportunity for our students.
