Curtis Chronicles

March 13, 2023

Principal's Corner; Ms. Sonya Pitcock

Cougar families,

It’s been a busy two weeks! The Eagle Run was a great success and we thank everyone who signed up and braved the early morning and rainy conditions to be there! We have passed out all the coupon booklets for the students and they are using those up!

We also want to thank the PTA for helping us bring in author Nathan Hale! Mr. Hale came to speak to all CMS students through their history classes and told a story about history while illustrating as he talked. The students loved the presentation and we are so thankful to PTA for their continued support of finding new and exciting ways to help our students learn!

We have finished the 3rd quarter of the year and are headed into the last stretch of the year! We have so many celebrations to share about kids doing great things! Theater, Choir and Orchestra all received top ratings at their UIL contest this year and we are proud of the work everyone put in to make that happen! We have Hailey Smith moving on the state science fair competition with her project! Our math and science teams are competing with other schools and coming home with high scores! Our track athletes had their first meet before break and started off the season strong! We know we will continue to see great things in this last quarter of the year as well.
