Panama
Socialism
Regulations
The regulatory environment is efficient, but the pace of reform has slowed in the past years. With no minimum capital requirements, starting a business takes six days and five procedures. The labor market lacks flexibility.
In the U.S. the labor market is pretty flexible. There are 150 regulations to start a business.
Society
In Panama people don't usually care about how they spend their money. As long as they are having fun in the moment. They don't care about next month or even the next year. They live in a free-spirit lifestyle.
Panama's economy is mainly on service sector.
Issues
Water pollution from agricultural runoff threatens fishery resources; deforestation of tropical rain forest; land degradation and soil erosion threatens siltation of Panama Canal; air pollution in urban areas; mining threatens natural resources.
The U.S. have a lot of the common issues.
