Q3 Report Cards Issued
Coming soon! Pre-Kindergarten enrollment opening in early April for eligible four year olds. Necessary for enrollment: child's birth certificate, child's immunization record, proof of residency, and proof of income. AM Car Rider Drop Off - Parents arriving prior to 8:45 AM in the car rider drop off - please allow enough space for staff to pull into and park in the available parking spots while you are waiting in the car rider line.
Rooms
Say hello to parent-teacher chat and classroom announcements in Caroline app with a new app feature called Rooms! Rooms is a parent-teacher chat feature on the Caroline mobile app. Unlike the general information on the app, Rooms is a password-protected way for you to safely and securely communicate with your child’s teachers.
On Jan. 31, parents and guardians will receive instructions via email to create their Rooms login within the district app. The email will come from Apptegy, so please check your spam, just in case.
If you do not already have the district app on your phone, please download it today so you’ll be ready to login to Rooms. In the App Store or on Google Play, search Caroline Schools, MD.

Be sure to download the CCPS App to stayed informed.
RES students should have brought home WHITE Folders which has the Inclement Weather assignments. The folders can be kept at home to be completed when/if necessary in the future.
Inclement Weather Day Plan for Students
The Maryland Department of Education is allowing districts to use three (3) asynchronous inclement weather days as virtual learning days. This limits the number of days that would normally have to be added on to the end of the school year.
Elementary: Folders with brief Math and/or English Language Arts assignments will be sent home in preparation for an inclement weather day. Internet/Wi-Fi will not be required to complete assignments. Assignments will be due 2 days after school is back in session and will count as attendance for the virtual day.
Secondary: Students will be able to access their assignments offline without the need for Internet/Wi-Fi access using their school-issued device. Assignments will be brief and a review of material already covered in the classroom. Work will be due shortly after school is back in session and will count as attendance for the virtual day.
Dismissal Changes for Students
It is important that parents call before 3 PM to request changes for dismissal. This allows sufficient time the office staff to communicate changes to the teachers and students. Last minute calls are very stressful during dismissal. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
Parent and Doctor Notes
When a student is absent from school, it is required that parents provide a note stating the reason for the absence. If the student has been to the doctor's or dentist's office, please provide the doctor's/dentist note. Without a parent's note or doctor's note, the student's absence is considered unlawful. Notes must be provided within 10 days of the absence.
