Conferences
• Please be sure to discuss MAP scores to support your other conclusions that you are presenting to families.
• Please ask if families are receiving and reading our family newsletter. It is emailed every Friday at 3:20 p.m. If an email address is wrong, families can fix it in the office.
• Feel free to talk about attendance and tardiness during conferences if it has been an issue. Express how important it is that students are here on time every day and that supervision begins at 8:15 on the playground.
5K change time
Jean Nelson begins on Friday, February 13th as Amy's long term sub. Thanks, Jean, for continuing to be such a valued member of the Lakeview team!
Structural Items
All Paras & Secretaries - February 28 - All Lakeview staff, including all paras and secretaries, should plan to attend a 2-hour session with teachers on February 28th. The time will include trauma-sensitive topics that will apply to everyone. As soon as I know the exact time, I will let you know. This is paid time.
PTO Staff Basket for Snowball Dance - We decided as a staff to do a "Gift Card Tree" for the raffle. Please give your gift cards to me or Roxanne and we will put them together. Please attach a post-it note with your name on it to your gift card. We already are collecting some amazing gift cards! Someone is going to be very happy to receive it!
Summer School teacher applications - Last week, Eric Wightman sent out the link to sign up to teach Summer School. Six weeks of 4-mornings/week goes fast in Summer. Dates are June 22-July 30 this year. Please consider and submit your interest by March 4th.
Summer School student recommendations - Here is the spreadsheet that was emailed to you on Tuesday, along with the guidelines for recommendation. Remember, every student needs a box filled in. If you do not recommend, then choose the "Not recommended" dropdown box. If you only recommend one class, it goes in Column G (regardless of what class it is), two recommendations uses Columns G & H, three recommendations uses G & H & I.
G/T Letter - This letter from Brigid Harmeyer is in the family newsletter this week. You will want to read through this before conferences in case families have questions.
