OES Library Media Update

Welcome Back to OES!!!

Our "wild" year has now begun. To help you with your adventure, I have gathered together a few things that may help you on your journey. This month's update includes the final report on our school's participation in the 2015 Scholastic Summer Reading Challenge, information on Tumblebooks, as well as a unique website that will aid you in organizing ALL the websites you visit.

UPDATE: 2015 Scholastic Summer Reading Challenge --Final Report

I am proud to report that we ranked 905 out of all the participating schools worldwide! Our student participants read for a total of 27,670 minutes. I am thrilled with the amount of participation and enthusiasm for this program. I look forward to promoting and participating in this challenge next year.

Teacher Tool Spotlight: Symbaloo

Symbaloo is an awesome web-based program that organizes websites for you. Think of it as a color-coded filing system. You can organize your websites by color to aid in locating specific resources. You can also create multiple pages to help further your organization system. For example, you can create a Symbaloo page for your subject-matter resources and then create a separate Symbaloo page for frequently visited websites.
