Transition to Hybrid Learning Update
Students have been emailed their assigned group.
Students will need to bring their Chromebooks to school everyday.
If your CLHS student does not have a school issued device, please stop by the Learning Resource Center (next to the MAC) to check one out.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, students that plan to ride the bus to school and/or travel in the school vans to athletic events will need to submit a district transportation agreement. This form is available on our website, at the school office, and will passed out to students from their teachers and coaches. You may also print the form yourself, by clicking HERE. Please read, sign, and return the form by emailing it to rmather@lakeport.k12.ca.us or dropping it off in our secure drop box located outside the office doors. Student Athletes may return the form to their coaches.

From Lakeport Police Department
Please join us in welcoming Pualani (PK) Erickson to our department. PK will be serving as an intern in our Records & Evidence Division to help cover the duties of some staff vacancies. PK is a student at Clear Lake High School and will graduate at the end of this school year and then attend college. We have a strong desire to recruit and hire local as well as give our local youth opportunities and the ability to learn local government and law enforcement. The city and police department have worked to have intern programs when possible and have employed numerous students in the past who are either continuing their education or have gone on to successful careers.

Spring Sports
We are excited that we are now able to officially begin Spring Sports. It has been great seeing our student athletes on our fields and running through our campus.
With games just around the corner, there is some important information our families and students need to know.
Per the CDPH Guidelines for Youth Sports -
General Requirements for All Sports:
Irrespective of setting (outdoor or indoor) case rate or sport played, the following general guidance requirements must be adhered to at all times:
- Face coverings to be worn when not participating in the activity (e.g., on the sidelines).
- Face coverings to be worn by coaches, support staff and observers at all times, and in compliance with the CDPH Guidance for the Use of Face Coverings.
- Observers maintain at least 6 feet from non-household members.
- No sharing of drink bottles and other personal items and equipment.
- Mixing with other households prior to and post any practice or competition must strictly adhere to current gathering guidance.
- Limit indoor sports activities (practice, conditioning) to comply with capacity limits (which shall include all athletes, coaches, and observers) indicated in current CDPH Gym & Fitness Center Guidance Capacity.
- Associated indoor activities for the team (e.g., dinners, film study) are prohibited if engaged in competition given evidence that transmission is more likely to occur in these indoor higher risk settings.
- Teams must not participate in out-of-state games and tournaments; several multistate outbreaks have been reported around the nation, including California residents.
Limitations on Observers
- Limit observation of youth sports (age 18 years and under) to immediate household members, and for the strict purpose of age appropriate supervision. This includes observation of practice and competition. Limit number of observers to ensure physical distance can be maintained, reduce potential crowding, and maintain indoor and outdoor capacity limits.
Summer School 2021
LUSD will be offering a 4 week, 4 hour, summer school program. This is a great opportunity for CLHS students to make up credits towards graduation. If your CLHS student failed English, Math, and/or History they are encouraged to sign up. This will be an in-person/on campus program. Due to COVID restrictions, space will be limited.
More details about the daily schedule will be released at a later time.
General Rules -
All health and safety guidelines must be followed
Daily attendance is mandatory to ensure students have enough "seat time" to earn one semester of high school credit.
Please sign up HERE to express your interest in reserving a spot.
Is this your work???
Unclaimed items will be gifted or donated.
If you have any questions, please email our new Art teacher, Ms. Bailly at jbailly@lakeport.k12.ca.us
Thank you
Graduation Ceremony 2021
We are very hopeful that we will be able to hold an in-person Graduation Ceremony this year. All high school principals are meeting weekly to devise a plan to present to Lake County Public Health for approval. We feel optimistic that with the right plan and cooperation from our families, we will be able to hold this most memorable high school event for our students.
It is important to us that we get our Senior's input. A Graduation Committee sign up form has been emailed to every senior and posted in the Class of 2021 google classroom. Our next Graduation Committee Meeting is at 12:30 on Tuesday, March 9th, via Zoom. This is a student only meeting. Please stay tuned for a Class of 2021 Graduation Parent Information Night.
Thank you,
Mrs. Scheel

Please call Mrs. Frazell or Mrs. Roderick if you have any questions.
