November 23 - 24
I realize that you have a daunting task of educating every child that enters your classroom. Thank you for your hard work and your willingness to seek and embrace changes that are in the best interest of children. As a small token of our appreciation, Keri Beth and I will take care of lunch duty on Tuesday and you are free to enjoy a quiet lunch with your colleagues. Because we work hard and sweat for our students, you may wear sweat suits on Tuesday.
Fountas and Pinnell
Remember this is an opportunity to sit down one on one with every child and have a conversation while assessing what he or she knows.
I'm enjoying getting into your classrooms. I don't expect to observe every item under each APS during every observation. If an indicator isn't covered during the observation, it will be noted as not observed. When a question is asked about an observation, please respond so that I can better support you.
Please update your classroom and hall displays. Current student work should be displayed. Our students are doing awesome work! We need to show it off.
Tuesdays should be reserved for professional development or team meetings. Please avoid making appointments on Tuesdays when possible.
Please review the policy on Mandatory Reporting and Promotion, Retention and Acceleration of Students. Both policies are in the district policies and will be put in Canvas.
Thanksgiving Lunch for all students. Parents and guardians of K5, 2nd, and 4th graders are invited to lunch.
