Important Dates to Remember
June 7-10: Color Guard Camp (9AM - 4PM)
June 7-10: Percussion Camp (10AM - 5 PM)
June 26: Spark!Fishers Parade
Percussion Camp Reminders
- Camp is 10 AM - 5 PM.
- Students should be ready to play at 10 AM.
- Band room doors (15B) will open at 9:30 AM.
- Lunch break will be at 1:00 (students must stay on campus).
- Students will be ready for pickup at 5:10 PM.
- Please dress to be outside! No black shirts!
- Wear appropriate shoes for running!
- Please bring a water bottle, sunscreen, and a hat to protect your face and neck.
- Students will need a binder with sheet protectors in which to put their percussion music for the entire season (we will be playing outside and it helps keep it from blowing around).
PARADE DAY SCHEDULE – SATURDAY, JUNE 26TH
- 10:00am -- 12:00 PM: Rehearsal at HSE
- 12:00 PM: Load the small trailer with large equipment only (Everything else should be taken in a car.)
- ~5:00: Stage at parade site and unload trailer (We don’t have this info yet, but the parade starts at 6:00.)
- 6:00: Parade – Students will wear band t-shirt (provided) and comfortable shorts with tennis shoes

Spark!Fishers Parade Volunteers
What we need:
- help keeping our Marchers hydrated and happy.
- a support pickup truck to drive in front of us.
- someone to meet us at the end of the parade route with Gatorade.
- volunteers to walk with us to pass out water bottles and collect empties, and
- people to donate the water bottles and Gatorade.

Marching Band 2021 Season
Tentative Marching Band 2021 Summer Dates Announced!
- July 19-23 - Band Camp Week #1: 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. with meals, breaks and fun activities built in!
- July 26-30 - Band Camp Week #2 and also Uniform fitting / School Registration: Monday and Friday will be 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. rehearsals; Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday will be 1:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. rehearsals scheduled around uniform fitting / registration times.
** Band camp is our most intense time because we learn a large portion of the show for the fall season during these two weeks. We also have bonding activities though, and it's a LOT of fun - even with the hard work!
Fall Break Information
It is important to understand that Fall Break is our most competitive time for Marching Band. Similar to a fall sport, we have qualifying competitions during fall break and therefore it is CRUCIAL that everyone is in attendance at rehearsals and performances.
We have worked out a schedule that allows for families to take a brief vacation or reprieve and then we are back to work at the end of the week for our qualifying competitions on Saturdays.
- Saturday, October 16 – We will have a VERY IMPORTANT QUALIFYING COMPETITION FOR OUR STATE CONTEST THIS DAY, SO WE WILL HAVE A FULL DAY OF REHEARSAL AND AN AFTERNOON OR EVENING PERFORMANCE TIME. THIS IS MANDATORY FOR ALL STUDENTS!
- Sunday, October 17 – Tuesday, October 19 BREAK – NO REHEARSAL
- Wednesday, October 20 – Rehearsal in the evening 6-9pm
- Thursday, October 21 – Rehearsal (full day)
- Friday, October 22 – Rehearsal and COMPETITION AT LUCAS OIL STADIUM
- Saturday, October 23 – Rehearsal and COMPETITION AT LUCAS OIL STADIUM
