REASONS I LOVE THIS LIST:
It really is the best of the best!
A committee of 11 librarians read HUNDREDS of books throughout the year. They read, re-read, analyze, and then discuss the titles that rise to the top. They vote on their favorites at the end of the Midwinter conference, then prepare an annotated list of the top 100 or so titles.
It covers all the bases!
The list includes books for ages birth to 14, so we get the best from board books to complex nonfiction.
