Wednesday, October 14th, is Pastor Appreciation Day at TLS.

Trinity students, faculty, and families will be thanking the pastors from Trinity and two other sister churches who help with the weekly chapel service. We will be presenting each pastor with a small gift of appreciation on 10/14 for the wonderful work they do sharing God’s Word.

We are asking for a small donation of $1-$5 from each student or family to cover the costs of the gifts - however, don't let that amount limit your appreciation. You are certainly welcome to give more!

Please send your donation in an envelope with your child to school by Monday, October 12th. Label it “Pastor Appreciation” along with your child’s/family name. Teachers will help to ensure that donations get delivered to the school office.

Help us thank our faithful pastors for all they do!

This year we ask that you give individual checks made out to each pastor by name OR simply give cash.

Pastor John Borgwardt: Living Word, Waukesha

Pastor Jason Hacker: Grace, Waukesha

Pastor Scott Oelhafen and Pastor Phil Gurgel: Trinity

We have a limited amount of 2019-2020 Yearbooks.

If you didn't order one and still would like to have one the cost is $15.

Please stop at the School office with a check or cash, first come first serve.

Bonfire Kickoff Night Recap

Praise the LORD! The Bonfire Kickoff Night was a huge success, and we thank the Hoehls, the parents, the school staff, and the students for all their efforts in making this first event a success. There were close to 40 students attending. Please remember the bonfire is only the beginning. There are many social events, Bible studies, and training sessions this year. Attendance is expected and extremely important. Plus, you won’t want to miss out on what is yet to come.

One of the essential components to achieving excellence is clear and consistent communication. Mr. Pufahl and the Youth Ministry Team is evaluating different methods of communication, so students and parents always know what’s happening with Youth Ministries. At this point, the two most efficient ways of communicating are email and visiting the Trinity Youth Group Webpage, which is found on the Trinity website:

Parents/Guardians and youth, Please make sure to email Mr. Pufahl with any questions, concerns, or troubles you may have and need help. Mr. Pufahl is here for you, prays for you, and is dedicated to serve you in your faith journey.

Youth Bible Studies and “Trinity’s Got Talent!”

Please be watching your email inbox and church announcements for updates on Youth Bible Studies. There are several topics being explored at this point. All of which will have teens searching the Scriptures for timely topics. Some of these topics include: “What do I do about the racial tensions in my world?” “What about COVID and how is it affecting my family?” “How do Christians respond to faith challenges in our lives?”

Trinity’s Youth is also very talented in many ways. We are looking for ways to utilize individuals and small groups in church services. More to come in the near future.

Simply pre-register by calling Pastor O (to have enough class materials) at 262-442-8568 or – or find out more info at -- join us in praying that God brings more people to this class.

Brand New Sessions of Growth Group Starting:

Trinity welcomes you to sign-up for new Fall sessions of our fun, social, small-group Bible studies called: Growth Groups which are launching for four weeks beginning September 21-27th, usually in member homes (usually patios). These groups of @6-15 people are Bible studies that are based on the weekly sermon that especially help new members connect to our congregation. Following a pattern of 15 minutes of socializing and 45 minutes of Bible study, these studies really make a huge difference in the lives of every one who attends. They are primarily grouped by age: 20-somethings, 30-somethings, 40-somethings, and 50-plus somethings (although any one can join any group). Sign-up immediately at to get your preferred date/time. Especially during this COVID-19 time, we are safely social distancing and taking extra steps to safeguard all who attend. For more info, contact coordinator Jason Scherer 414-517-8373 or go to: More than 300 Trinity members have participated in these groups. Haven’t been in a Bible study in a while? Try it.
