Outdoor Classroom Work Party - Sunday, March 17
Come by the school on Sunday, March 17 at 10:00am to help build bird netting frames for the outdoor classroom raised planters. We are also adding wire mesh to the bottom of the planters. It would great to have many volunteers come lend a helping hand because the planters are quite heavy and can be challenging to lift. Kids are welcome to assist in assembling PVC piping for the frames and attach the netting. However, we ask that the kids are supervised.
Lunch will be provided - no need to sign up - just show up at 10, see you there! Any questions please contact Victor Chan at pvesdads1@gmail.com.

Thank You to Our Friend of the Foundation : Christensen Realty Group
The Park Village Foundation Would Like to Recognize Christensen Realty Group as a 2018-2019 Friend of the Foundation.
Hi, neighbors! We’re Dan & Deb of The Christensen Realty Group and Keller Williams Realty. In addition to the two of us, our team consists of Nicole Martinez, our business manager, and Meghna Surana, our full-time buyer’s agent.
We all had a blast being at the recent Park Village Foundation sponsored Jog-a-thon! We were delighted to hand out rubber wrist bands to each student and hope you had the chance to read the embossed message on the outside of each band … it says, “Go First Park Village Penguins.” There’s a story behind that message we’d like you to know…
“Go First” comes from an interview Tim Ferriss (from his great book, Tools of Titans) did with Gabby Reece. Gabby has been named one of the “20 Most Influential Women in Sports” and is best known for her success in volleyball. She is also married to Laird Hamilton who is considered the greatest big wave surfer of all time.
During the interview Gabby said, “I always say that I’ll go first … That means that if I’m checking out at the grocery store, I’ll say hello first. If I’m coming across someone and make eye contact, I’ll smile first. Be first, because – not at all times, but most times – it comes back in your favor. People are ready, but you have to go first, because now we’re being trained in this world to opt-out – nobody’s going first anymore.”
Smile, Say “Hi”, Offer to Help, Hold the Door Open for Someone – Go First!
It’s all about taking the initiative and taking responsibility, first! We think this is a great message for kids and adults alike. Our commitment is and will always be to excel at a “Clients First” business!
Dan, Deb, Nicole and Meghna
