NW District News- Return to Learn

July 16, 2020

Greetings Mountie Nation,

As you know, we have been working diligently on how the 2020-21 school will look for our district.

The MI Safe Schools Return to Learn Roadmap was released on June 30, 2020 giving guidance to school districts in the state on how to safely return to school in the fall.

We are working directly with the Jackson County Health Department on all the requirements and developing safety protocols for students and staff, ordering PPE, and developing plans to return to school whether it be face-to-face or virtual.

Using the data from the family survey that was sent out, we are creating two learning plans for students. Parents will be able to choose the best option for their students. The buttons below will take you to information on our educational and safety plans. We understand there may be many questions regarding these plans. We are working through the details and will update as needed.

Please fill out this required form to help us with planning for the upcoming fall.

Our district plan must be submitted and approved by the NW Board of Education and then submitted to the Jackson County ISD, and the State of Michigan prior to implementation.

This is our starting point. There are many details that will be worked out in the coming weeks and we understand that you may have a lot of questions. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through these challenges to get students back to learning in the fall. Please stay tuned for more information.

As always,

We are……. Northwest!

GO MOUNTIES!!
