Dear Families,
We are excited about our upcoming Innovation Fair. Please be sure to join us January 28 at 6:30 to see our students' work. Great things are happening here at Harbins, and you don't want to miss the opportunity to see it all! Also, don't forget the Valentine's Dance on February 12. Please see the detailed information located in this newsletter.
In your child's report card, you should have received a form regarding feedback for placement next year. Yes, we are already making plans for the 2016-2017 school year! Please take a moment to complete and return to the school.
If your child is in 4th or 5th grade, you should have also received a detailed student report regarding Georgia Milestones scores from the last school year. Please see the link in the newsletter for additional information regarding those reports.
If you have not taken the CCRPI survey (link in this newsletter), please do so. Your feedback is important to us. Remember, this information will be calculated in our overall CCRPI score.
As we begin this week, know that we believe it is our greatest honor to serve this community through our work. We thank you every day for entrusting us with your most precious children and for supporting us in our endeavor to create the best possible learning opportunity for each child.
It's GREAT to be a Harbins Tiger!
Jennifer

"Day of" Transportation Changes That Occur After Your Child Arrives at School
If a transportation change is needed after the school day has begun, you will need to contact the school by phone and send a signed note by fax, including a copy of your picture ID, stating the change in dismissal transportation for your child. Phone calls alone will not be accepted as verification of the needed change in transportation. Please do not send an email to your child’s teacher, as he or she may not have the chance to check messages prior to dismissal and we must have a note with a signature and a picture ID for changes in transportation. All “day of” transportation changes must be sent to the office no later than 2:00 that day. That is the only way we can ensure that the notice will be received and communicated to your student prior to dismissal.
The Harbins Innovation Fair is coming soon!
We hope everyone is planning to join us on Thursday, January 28th for this amazing event! The fair will be from 6:30-8:00 PM and will be a wonderful opportunity for everyone to see and experience all of the innovative teaching and learning that happens at Harbins every day! Student projects will be on display, hands-on activities will be happening at every grade level, and there will also be some amazing door prizes!
Student fair projects are due before school on Wednesday, January 20th. Late projects cannot be accepted.

CCRPI Parent Survey
Please take a few minutes to complete this very important survey. Your feedback will be a part of our schools CCRPI score, and it is important for us to hear you!
Safety Reminder
Teachers and staff are engaged with children from 7:45 a.m. until 3:15 p.m. Please help us preserve that time. We ask that if you need to speak with a staff member, you set up a time with that person. This way, we can ensure we are devoting our attention to the children in the building and making sure we meet your needs.
