WOOF....MEOW....HISS....OINK....MOO...and THANK YOU!!!!!

Kardivas “CAN you OPEN your heart?” Fundraiser

A HUGE “Thank you!” to all Kardivas girls and families for your numerous contributions to our recent club can opener drive to support the victims of Hurricane Harvey! We are super proud of all the girls’ efforts which included planning the drive, making posters, creating collection boxes for the donations, filming videos for the school broadcast, speaking at assembly, coming to school early and collecting the can openers, and the list goes on-and-on!

We are PROUD TO ANNOUNCE that Kardivas collected a total of EIGHTY-SIX can openers to donate to the Austin Disaster Relief Network (ADRN) and that number has the potential to climb even slightly higher as a few last-minute donations are still trickling into the school.

I'm so proud of these wonderful young ladies! Thank you parents and teachers for all you do to support our girls and promote service projects that reach beyond our own community. What a wonderful way to make a positive impact.

Christy Gutt Named WCHE Volunteer of the Month, March 2018!

West Cypress is very fortunate to have wonderful volunteers who come in to help us in the Library, to help us with student lunches, and to assist our classroom teachers. They decorate our hallways and our classrooms, and they make our special events like Family Fun Night, Field Day, and the Apex Fun Run possible.

To show our appreciation, the WCHE staff elects one volunteer each month to be our Volunteer of the Month. The recipient of that honor for the month of March is Christy Gutt.

Christy serves as Secretary of the WCHE PTO, is a WCHE Library Volunteer, and helps our classroom teachers. Congratulations, Christy, and many thanks for all that you do to make WCHE a GREAT place to be.

Calling all Box Tops! Calling all Box Tops!

Please remember to save your Box Tops for Education and donate them to West Cypress Hills. The classroom with the most Box Tops each quarter wins a special prize.

And, be sure to remind Grandma, Grandpa, Aunts, and Uncles to save theirs, too!

Box Tops for Education labels can be found on a number of grocery items. For more information about the products that support Box Tops for Education, click here. Box Tops can be placed on this form and turned in to your child's teacher. Thanks!

Thanks!
