From The Principal's Desk

Dear Owyhee Families,

Happy New Year! I hope you all had a wonderful winter break and had a chance to enjoy some snow time. I was able to go sledding with my family and enjoyed the big smiles and laughter that came from our youngest grandson, it was his first time.

Our team is looking forward to the return of students. We feel rested, rejuvenated, and cannot wait to see their smiling faces. We hope your child is also feeling rested and excited to be returning to school. School resumes, Monday, January 10, 2022.

Please continue to encourage your child to dress for the cooler weather by reminding them to wear their warm outside gear (coats, hats and gloves). In the event of a school closure due to winter weather the district will communicate to the local radio and television stations to spread the word. The district will also email and send a text message to parents (who are signed up), and post closure information on the district’s website www.boiseschools.org and the district’s Twitter account. To sign-up for the district’s emergency text messaging service text SUBSCRIBE to the number 68453.

Please keep an eye out for report cards. They will be coming home with students on Friday, January 14th. This is a great time for your child to share the progress they have made thus far. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out to your student’s teacher.

Also 5th/6th grade girls basketball practice begins Monday, January 10th @ 8:00 am. Practice will be held in the gym.

I am looking forward to our continued work together in the new year!

Cheers to making 2022 amazing!

Dr. David
