Principal's Message
The Best Days of My Life
Greetings!
It was a pleasure to meet so many parents at our Open House. Nothing compares with the opportunity to work together to support our kids. Local rivalries may exist on the fields and courts between some of our sending schools, but here at SST students from Epping, Exeter, Newmarket, Raymond, Sanborn and Winnacunnet work together on One Team! For an educator, it really does not get better than this.
Within the last month, our students have been leading their learning in the classroom and out in the local community. I had the incredibly good fortune to accompany our Animal and Plant Science students on an academic competition. Although I do not qualify as an "International Harvester" I can tell you that there was no prouder fan at The Deerfield Fair September 27th - or on any day - for that matter. The poise and skills our kids demonstrated were nothing short of exceptional.
Riding the bus I not only saw students from area schools coming together, but our 2nd year students mentoring our first year students, cultivating a safe and collaborative programmatic culture. The Deerfield Fair is just one example of the real world learning experiences happening at SST every day. Last year, SST students earned 579 college courses earning 1,667 college credits. Our students not only take their learning outside our classrooms, but with them after graduation.
I hope you enjoy a look back at some of the Best Days of My Life this past month!

Thinking about what comes next?
Please reach out to us, if we can be of any help. Use or possession of an electronic smoking device on the grounds of SST, on the way to or from, as well as at any SST event is a serious violation of our behavioral expectations.
More importantly, however, it is risky behavior that compromises the health and well being of our students.
Please be aware of the signs of use and potential dangers. Please click on the Title, "Vaping epidemic hits NH" to connect with the NH Department of Health and Human Services for more information and resources.

October 2nd
We started by taking the Amtrak Downeaster From Exeter to North Station. We had some time to kill so we walked to the Boston Public Garden / Boston Common and got to see the Make Way for Ducklings statue, the State House, Frog Pond, and where the swan boats are when in season.
We arrived back for the Game Day Ready sports nutrition conference. Speakers included Amy Bragg, the head sports nutrition director for Alabama University football, the Sous Ns Executive Chefs for the Red Sox, the Bruins chef, and many other nutritionists and chefs for teams including the Clippers. We were treated to a healthy lunch that included salmon, rainbow couscous salad, vegetable polenta, and a variety of plated desserts. Both the conference and lunch were in Legends restaurant which is normally reserved only for season ticket holders.
We had a few hours before our train, so we stopped at a coffee shop for a little refresher. Then we walked about ten minutes to Koy restaurant, which is owned by a student in my CSCA ServSafe seminar. Owner/chef Danny Chang whipped up some delicious soup and a sampling of appetizers on the house for us, including lobster rangoon. We also ordered a few dishes off the menu for an early dinner.
After this, we started to walk back to North Station, but it was raining quite a bit, so the kids learned how to take the Orange Line / subway back to North Station.
It was an amazing day full of educational opportunities!
