Guthrie Field Trip

Thursday, March 5th, 7:45am

818 South 2nd Street

Minneapolis, MN

Every year, students from West and East high school are given the opportunity to see a Shakespeare play performed at the Guthrie Theater thanks to a generous endowment made by an anonymous community member.

On Thursday, March 5th, students from West will attend the Guthrie's production of Shakespeare's comedy Twelfth Night, a romantic comedy full of mistaken identities, love triangles, and (of course) a happy ending.

Standards-Based Grading Conference

Last week, several Mankato West staff members attended Rick Wormeli's Standard-Based Grading conference in Bloomington. As you may be aware, our schools are incorporating Standards-Based Grading practices as a way to more accurately track and communicate student performance by focusing more on the evidence of learning associated with specific course standards.

We will continue to share information with students and families as we develop our practices around Standards Based Grading.
