An update for parents and families - Sept. 22

September is underway!

Hi Cougs!

The first few weeks of school have gone by and things are off to a great start this year! Students are settling into our schoolwide norms while also learning more about each of their classes. We spent the first several days of the year with lessons called "Coug 101" which has allowed us to make sure everyone is on the same page. We have now transitioned into our CORE/FLEX model which allows us intervention academically. It is our hope that your child is having a successful start and is feeling good about things are going.

Our mid-quarter progress check takes place at the start of October, which will place us about 5 weeks into the school year. As a former mountain guide, I use the analogy that it is "easier to stay warm than get warm." Three weeks in is a great time to check in with your child if you have not done so already. They can tell you about their classes and what they are working on. You can also sit down and make sure that assignments are being completed and that grades in each class are starting with the right trajectory.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to let us know how we can support. That is why we are here.

Whatever it takes!

New communication tool for Fife Public Schools

Families of students in Fife schools may have already noticed that some of the communications coming from schools are coming from ParentSquare. We are very excited about this new communication tool which allows you to customize how you want to receive information.

School newsletters from CJH will be sent out using a combination of Smore and ParentSquare as we learn how to best use these great options.

If you have any changes to your contact information such as a new a phone number or email address, please contact your school to request an update.
