Serrano Eagles Bulletin

Parent Bulletin - February 2, 2016

Hello Serrano,

PBIS is off and rolling and many classes are feverishly working for SOAR tickets to earn the letters that make up "EAGLES SOAR". I am so impressed by all the things Eagles do to show respectful, responsible and safe behavior around Serrano and the community - keep it up Eagles.

Also, our first month of Golden Dustpan winners was announced for January and the winning classes for January were Mrs. Cinadr's and Mrs. Covington's classes - congrats!

It is hard to believe we are already in February and that February is a shorter month and will fly by. This bulletin will detail all of the exciting things happening this week at Serrano - Enjoy!

Eagles in the Community - Highlight

Below are some pictures of Olivia and Sofia Campos working in Mexico with a team from Calvary Church of Santa Ana and the YWAM team to build homes for those in need. The homes are funded by donations alone and the support of those who go on the trip. The family that the Campos family built for had two little small twin beds and the mom had been sleeping on the dirt floor by spreading blankets over the floor. The dad makes about $50 a week to feed his family. They were a wonder and sweet family. The Campos girls and other kids from their team were responsible to be friendly, kind and also reach out to the kids in the small community. "Its really great to see the US kids and the Mexican kids work out their conversations and have fun without really understanding each others language. The point is to connect and understand that we are all the same and can be kind with one another," Mrs. Campos explains. "It was our third year going on this trip and we will do it again. Thanks to those that supported us through donations, prayers and encouragement."
