France’s Constitutional Council gave the go-ahead on Sunday to the government’s so-called millionaire tax, to be levied on companies that pay salaries of more than 1 million euros a year. Dec.29th 2013

A person who changed history and how:

Louis Blériot (1872-1936) was a French airman who bacame the first person to fly the English Channel. On 25 July 1909 he flew from Calais to Dover in 37 minutes.
