April 7, 2017
What a week we have had! Thank you for your continued support and trust as we have adapted to many changes and lots of weather. The early dismissal on Wednesday could not have been timed any better as the serious part of the storm with the tornado warning came at about 2:00 p.m. and lasted until 2:30 p.m. This would have made for an anxious time for all as that is our dismissal time. I thank our district for keeping the safety of our children as the top priority!
Mustang Fest was awesome even though it was on Sunday and not the original Friday date! Thank you all for attending, sharing how much you enjoyed it, and for volunteering!! It was a beautiful day! Adaptability paid off!
Many thanks to our parents who were able to attend our Student Led Conferences. All of our children had the opportunity to share their data and conference with a parent, grandparent, or school faculty member. This was an impressive feat with almost 800 students!!! Thank you to our students for their courage, confidence, and smiles! Thank you to our teachers for teaching students how to understand and reflect on data!
To top our week off, we closed it with the most wonderful day of the year...Field Day!!! I love this day as we spend it participating in physical activities of all levels that bring success to each student!! Teamwork, smiles, and FUN!! Best day ever and the cooler temperature didn't dampen any of our spirit!
Please do enjoy the Spring Break with your child or children! Read great books and have some outside fun!
I look forward to seeing everyone on Tuesday, April 18!
