Why Dairy is Important

Dairy is important because it gives you key minerals and vitamins like calcium, phosphorus, vitamin A, vitamin D, vitamin B, and Riboflavin. It also gives you carbohydrates like lactose and other things like fat, protein, and water.


Osteoporosis is a disease the decreases bone strength and increases risk of broken bones. You can prevent osteoporosis when you are young with weight-bearing exercises, a diet rich in calcium, and a diet rich in Vitamin D.

Healthy Food Choices

In your life you need to make healthy food choices. To make sure you make these choices you can consume stuff like milk, yogurt, cheese, cottage cheese, and for a desert you could make chocolate or butterscotch cake with low-fat milk.

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies


  • 1/2 cup chunky peanut butter

  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar

  • 1 large egg

  • 1-1/4 cups quick-cooking oats

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda


    1. In a small bowl, cream peanut butter and brown sugar until fluffy. Beat in egg. Add oats and baking soda to creamed mixture; mix well.
    2. Drop by tablespoonfuls 2 in. apart onto greased baking sheets; flatten slightly. Bake at 350° for 6-8 minutes. Remove to wire racks to cool. Store in an airtight container. Yield: 2 dozen.
