Cliff Hetzel, our Chief Operating Officer, was recently named the Most Outstanding Business Operations Manager by the Ohio Association of School Business Officials. He was selected based on his top-notch service to the profession, community and school system. Additionally, he was presented the award by Scott Gooding, the District’s Treasurer, as he is OASBO’s incoming president.

Students at Royal Manor have taken on a year-long project to learn more about trees and their importance to our environment and to humans. Take a look at what all they have learned about trees!

A night of crafts, music and of course pizza was recently held at the Blacklick Elementary Community Celebration. It was an incredible opportunity to learn and share about the families who make the Blacklick Elementary community so special.

It was all hands on deck for a Community Clean Up day at Middle School West. Thank you to our MSW students, staff and families who take such good care of their school.

More than thirty scholarships and athletic awards were presented to deserving seniors during the GLHS Class of 2023 Local Scholarship Awards Night on May 4. Congratulations to all the recipients, and thank you to all the schools, businesses & community organizations who generously funded scholarships for our students.

In November 2020, voters in the Gahanna-Jefferson Public Schools district approved a bond and operating levy to fund Phase Two of the GJPS Master Facilities Plan.

Phase Two of the Master Facilities Plan Includes:

• Additions and renovations to High Point and Blacklick Elementary
• Additions and renovations to Middle School East
• New Lincoln High School on current site

BinaxNOW At-Home COVID-19 Rapid Test Kits are currently available for students and staff currently enrolled in GJPS schools who are EXHIBITING SYMPTOMS of COVID-19.

REQUEST FORM MUST BE COMPLETED IN ADVANCE
While supplies last, you may request kits for:

• The number of students you have enrolled in Gahanna-Jefferson Public Schools in your household who are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19.

• The number of GJPS staff in your household who are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19.

A confirmation email will not be sent.

PLEASE WEAR A MASK WHEN PICKING UP A RAPID TEST AT THE ADMINISTRATION BUILDING
