Jeff Nathenson-Youtube - Protecting your Content
Fingerprinting of content allows YouTube to track when other users upload this claimed content and allows the media owner to track, monetise or take down this content. whether this is used to generate an extra revenue stream or to analyse viewer behavior this is a tool all media owners should be using to protect their investments.
ContentID has a place within live productions as well and StreamUK believe while a holistic approach to online video is important, the technology shouldn't be labour intensive.
