Active Bodies, Active Minds

Who am I?

I attended Southern Methodist University on a 'Full Ride' Basketball Scholarship and graduated with a BA in Physical Education in 1982. My love for the game of basketball lead me to coach Middle School and High School basketball for several years. Upon retiring from coaching, I moved to the Elementary level. My career has afforded me the opportunity to educate students, of all ages, on the importance of good health. I continue to learn ways to excite students to achieve their best self and provide them with the tools to attain good health.

I am married to a wonderful man with a marvelous sense of humor. We live in Keller with our dog, Pepper and enjoy all the amenities our small town has to offer. We are a member of the First United Methodist Church of Keller and we enjoy listening to KCBI radio station to aid in our spiritual growth.

My hobbies include gardening, growing over 70 varieties of rose bushes in my yard. Along with my love of roses, I grow an array of other plants. I also enjoy staying fit through activities at The Keller Point and watching health related programs, such as Dr. Oz, for healthy tips. Lastly, I stay current in politics and frequently correspond with local, state and federal officials. I love the USA!
