Red Ribbon Week
Love Yourself. Be Drug Free.
History
Enrique "Kiki" Camerena was a Drug Enforcement Agent who was kidnapped and tortured during his war against drugs. Friends and Family began wearing satin red ribbons in his honor. Their coalitions gained backing from President Reagan's wife, Nancy. Each year there is one week in schools nationwide devoted to the Red Ribbon cause.
