This Week #ontheHil: Happy Spring
It's here! The first day of Spring is March 20, 2022! Get your Zyrtec and Allegra ready! Remember to make sure your Hawk takes any needed allergy meds before school. Thank goodness for 24 hours and 12 hour options. Unless your bring in a signed medication form from a pediatrician or doctor, we cannot give students medication at school. Students are also prohibited from bringing medications to school to self-mediate. A few extra tissue boxes are definitely not prohibited! The pollening causes a shortage of tissues around campus every year!
This Monday, we hope you will consider joining in #ROCKYOURSOCKS day for World Down Syndrome Day! Did you know that chromosomes look like socks? By wearing bright, colorful, bold, and creative socks we celebrate awareness and the vital role we play in an inclusive community!

P2 Week: Humor
Starting Monday, Partner Schools nationwide will begin learning about humor. Humor is a sense of playfulness and lightness. It is a way of looking at and describing the world that brings laughter to people. A person with the strength of humor is skilled at seeing at the funny side of things, bringing smiles and laughter to others, and identifying and communicating the absurdities in life. People with this strength donât specifically need to be joke tellers, although many are.
Humor can have a dark side, depending on how itâs used. Some humor is mean-spirited and bullying. The strength of humor that the character strength focuses on is that which raises the spirits of other people.
