Fall Family Conferences

Conferences are a great opportunity to touch base with your child's classroom teacher. We highly recommend every family participates in this experience. Conferences are offered in both virtual and in-person formats this year. Translation will also be provided. If the times offered, do not work for you, please let your child's classroom teacher know; we will work to accommodate schedules of all families. If you have any questions, please reach out to your child's classroom teacher directly and/or James Bergeron, Principal, at JBergeron@Framingham.K12.Ma.Us.

We look forward to continuing to develop home-school partnerships throughout the year!

From Your Specialists!

Hi Families! This year, our specialist team wants you to be able to take a look inside our classrooms. This is the first of many "Specialists Corner" for you to see the fun activities we're doing, and communicate any upcoming events or activities!

Here is our first edition of "Specialists Corner!" https://www.smore.com/pxfhe

Information from PTO

*Our November community PTO meeting will be this Wednesday, 11/9, at 7pm in the King cafeteria. We plan to discuss the upcoming book fair, pancake breakfast, and more! Babysitting will be available and a Portuguese translator is confirmed. We are working on obtaining a Spanish translator. We look forward to seeing you there!

*In past years, we have put together a King Family slideshow of staff members and students' Veteran family members we want to celebrate on Veterans Day. This year, to streamline the photo collection process, we have created a Google Form that you can complete to add your family members. At the very end, there is a file upload where you can upload your photos. If there is an issue with attaching, please email scollins@framingham.k12.ma.us or ptokingrecordingsecretary@gmail.com.

Please complete this form by Wednesday, November 9 so we can make sure we have the time to add to the slideshow so it's ready to be finalized and shared out on Friday 11/11.

*The pancake breakfast is quickly approaching! This fun, and free, community event will be held on Saturday, November 19 in the King cafeteria. There will be 2 seatings - 9am and 10am. Please review the link below to sign up to donate items needed and email Jen Carter (carter.jennifer@aol.com) and/or Beth Folsom (beth.a.folsom@gmail.com or ptokingcommunity@gmail.com) if you'd like to volunteer to help that morning OR if you have an allergy friendly request. We want everyone to enjoy this event and can't wait to see our community there!

*Calling all 5th grade parents! You are invited to our first 5th Grade Planning Committee meeting on Monday, 11/28 at 7pm. The 5th grade teachers will be in attendance to tell us about the 5th grade celebrations. Zoom meeting information is coming soon.

Meet the King Staff!

Allergy Friendly Classrooms

  • We ask that snacks (that are often eaten in the classroom) do not include nuts or nut butters. All classroom spaces at King this year will be allergy friendly rooms. Students are, however, allowed to have nuts and nut butters as part of their lunches in the cafeteria.
  • In the cafeteria each classroom has 2 tables. One is labeled allergy friendly. We ask that any students that have nut or nut butter allergies sit at these tables; we ask that any students who have nut or nut butters as part of their lunch sit at the other tables.
  • Students have been introduced to this in the cafeteria already, and will be reminded by their classroom teachers again.

Pick Up & Drop Off: Please pay careful attention to directions from staff as well!
