The Assassination of John F.Kennedy
What happened before and after the attack
What happened before?
John F. Kennedy and his wife were on there way to give a speech in Texas. Thousands of people lined the streets just to get a glimpse of the president.
Imagine that your living in Texas in 1963 and your about to go see president Kennedy give his speech. Your watching his car roll down the road and from out of nowhere you see him laying in the seat of the car with a bullet wound in his head. No one knows who did it or why. What would you do?
The Attack
Oswald was working in a building in Texas on the 6th floor from where witnesses saw Kennedy being shot from. When Kennedy was shot, his wife immediately jumped on the back of the car and jumped off because she had a fear of getting shot too.
After the attack
On the day Kennedy was shot, the police went to work investigating the incident . The police had suspected that Oswald was the killer of President Kennedy because he was the only one working that night on the 6th floor of the building Kennedy was shot from. The police said that the killer worked on the 6th floor of the building because that's the only place you would have a clear shot of shooting him. They went to Lee Harvey Oswald's house and investigated. They asked his wife if he had owned a weapon, she said that he owned a rifle he kept in the garage folded up in a blanket. The police went to check out the blanket and when they lifted it, there was no gun underneath. They immediately assumed that Oswald had killed the President of the U.S.
Lee Harvey Oswald
First of all, who is Oswald? Well, he is the accused assassin of president Kennedy. Oswald is a competent sharpshooter but an indifferent marine, he began expressing pro-Soviet and politically radical views and, on a hardship plea, secured release from the corps on September 11, 1959. On November 22, 1963, from a window on the sixth floor of the depository building Oswald was working in he, using his rifle, allegedly fired three shots that killed President Kennedy and wounded Texas Gov. John B. Connally in Dealey Plaza. Oswald took a bus and a taxi to his house, departed, and about a mile away was stopped by Patrolman J.D. Tippit, who believed that Oswald resembled the suspect already being described over the police radio. Oswald killed Tippit with his revolver at that moment in the presence of a number of witnesses , but he didn't care because he knew he had already committed a bigger crime than shooting that police officer and was later seen entering the Texas Theater, where he was found by police.
Conspiracy Theory's About the Event
There are many different conspiracy theory's about the assassination. One is that Oswald didn't act alone, the CIA sent him out to kill the president because they thought that he was working with the Soviets and was a terrorist. There is another theory that Kennedy's vice president Johnson wanted to kill Kennedy to clear his own path to presidency so he hired Oswald to kill him, some in the CIA claim that Johnson ordered CIA agents to kill president Kennedy.
