Week of 10/10/23 at Richland Elementary School

Big picture
Dear Richland Families,

Student leaders hosted our first live announcement broadcast to classrooms this week! Announcements are read each morning by students and will be broadcast via Google Meet into classrooms every Friday. Morning announcements are one of the many leadership opportunities students may apply for. Check out our first crew below and a peek at our job board. We are proud of our student leadership!

We're excited for the Mobile Fab Lab to visit Richland this week where students in first through fifth grades will engage in computer science or digital fabrication activities. It's also Fire Safety Week, and students in pre-k through second grade will get a close up view of a fire truck after hearing safety tips from our local fire fighters.

It's almost time for Richland's first Fall Fest, and ticket sales have been extended until today! Don’t miss your chance to join your Richland family and friends on 10/15 from 5 to 8pm at Rustic Valley Orchard. Order now as ticket sales close today. More information is included in this newsletter.

As a reminder, there is no school for students on Monday as staff will be engaging in professional learning.

Have a wonderful week!

IT'S FAB LAB WEEK FOR GRADES 1-5!

The Bucks County Intermediate Unnit Mobile Fab Lab returns to Richland on October 10th through the 13th!

Students in grades 1-5 will visit the art room to participate in STEAM activities (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) through lessons that focus on computer science and digital fabrication.

THIS WEEK'S HIGHLIGHTS

RICHLAND GOES LIVE!

Our first weekly live announcements started with this crew of fifth graders on and off camera! Each week, via Google Meet, students will read the daily news while students watch from their classrooms. Student leaders will train other students to do the same. When not streaming live announcements, students read announcements each morning through our PA system.

Morning announcer is one of the many job opportunities students of all grades can apply for!

CHECK OUT MORE LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES ON OUR JOB BOARD!

Students will participate in activities during library class time as well as Caring School Community class meetings. We invite you to access family resources and participate in the family activities!
