This Week at Bower...
We had an incredible week! The sunshine... the warmth... the taste of spring! It was nice enough for PE to be outside occasionally this week. And the joy and giggles at recess were the best. Everyone thought they were "sweating" and it was "soooo hot!" But it was just perfect!
It was a sea of green yesterday for St Patty's Day! We played an all school game of Irish Bingo, where each class had a unique Bingo board, and I called the Bingo cells throughout the day over the intercom. It was so much fun! Our lucky winners were Mrs Mahler's class, Mrs Baker's class and Ms Heatherington's class.
This week we welcomed a new family to Bower from Mongolia. These are our first two students from Mongolia. Our new friends arrived with no English, but have already made so many friends! As an adult, it overwhelms me thinking about the challenges I would experience in a new country with a new language, yet our children have found so many ways to communicate and play with our new friends. It's a heartwarmer for sure!
Today we had our Bower PAWS families. One of our favorite days of the month! In our families we talked about gratitude and things that make us feel "lucky". Each family member wrote why they are lucky on a rainbow color coming from our pots of gold. Many blessings when we are all together.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Fondly,
Bridget Moore
